Today was a great workout…didn’t seem like much on the board, but it WAS!  Cardio focused warm up then on to the wall ball on the gound- lay on your back with the ball above your head and hit the wall, x 20 then 15 squats with a press and finally arm stuff. I love these work outs. totally different! Burned 260 calories. Love it! I can see a huge difference in my face and around my waist. Love it love it!

When I walked in this monring I thought the WOD (work out of the day) looked somewhat easy. We started with 30 high legs, 10 push ups, 20 squat jumps. The we were on to the real work out…..starting with 1000 m rowing, 30 wall balls, then 750 rows and 20 wall balls, then 500m rowing and 10 wall balls. This is by far the most cardio I have done in a long time. I started wearing my heart rate monitor today but started it too late…what I did capture was the fact that I burned 320 calories. Yippie. More tomorrow.

Our WOD was a 20 minute straigt row and 3 sets of push ups (I do ring rows for my wrist) and sit ups. I did it! I love this stuff. It is truly addictive. I also had to show my DH up on the jump rope yesterday…..lol.

It is a different workout everyday. Today was 4 sets of 10 cowboy jumps (squat then jump with a medicine ball in your hands above your head) quickly then 16 lounges with side to side twists while holding the same ball. I loved it! Still need to lower my carbs, but feeling great. I might sign up for the unlimited plan if I can. Stay tuned. Still need to measure myself.

It is official. Since my husband is about to turn 40 and realized he needed to get in shape, I have slowly been motivated by his hot body and strong muscles to start that journey for me as well! I joined Crossfit in SW Austin and LOVE it! I work out 3 times a week and actually look forward to doing it. We have modified our diet, not significantly, but enough to notice a difference. I am excited to take this journey again. Yes, I said again. Weight is a major player in my life, so now I am finally realizing it is a lifestyle change. Stay tuned for more.

My Mary Kay unit is working to make sure that EVERYONE is remembered this holiday season! We’ve put gifts together for either men or women, already gift wrapped and waiting to be delivered to the elderly there at the home, which is one of the most forgotten groups of special people at the holidays!

We even have gift tags to put your businesses name on or for you to write a special message on for each $20 gift they purchase, as well as a tax receipt for your donation.

How many residents would you like to adopt? You could bless 10 for $200 or 20 for $400. To make a donation, please call or email me at 512-632-6110 or amy.horowitz@marykay.com.
